Exploring the character, detail and evolution of the built environment, I am interested in the relationship between individual buildings and the wider streetscape, from historic façades and shopfronts to brickwork, signage, windows and decorative details. My approach combines considered architectural views with close-up observations that reveal the craftsmanship and layers of history within these places.
I am particularly interested in how the built heritage of an area reflects changing industries, their communities and culture. My work aims to document these environments honestly while capturing the distinctive character, atmosphere and personality that makes each place unique.
